Coronavirus cases hit 97, as NCDC confirms another 8 new cases

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed eight new cases of the coronavirus pandemic, which is also known as COVID-19. This brings the total confirmed cases in the country to 97.

The disclosure by NCDC came in its usual manner on Twitter.

The tweet read; “Eight new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria; 2 in FCT, 4 in Oyo, 1 in Kaduna and 1 in Osun State. As at 10:40 pm 28th March there are 97 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria with 1 death.

Breakdown of the Coronavirus cases so far: According to the agency,  Lagos currently has 59 cases, FCT – 16, Ogun – 3, Enugu – 2, Ekiti – 1, Oyo – 7, Edo – 2, Bauchi – 2, Osun – 2, Rivers – 1, Kaduna– 1, and Benue – 1.

Recall that the confirmed cases jumped to 89 during the early hours of today with 8 cases as Nairametrics reported.
