Air Peace suspends flight operations over COVID-19

Air Peace has announced the suspension of all flight operations. The suspension takes effect by midnight on Friday, 27 March 2020.

According to a statement released by the airline, this is part of the efforts made to stop the spread of the Coronavirus.

The statement read: “It is with great sense of responsibility that we have decided, in the best interest of our nation, passengers and workforce to suspend scheduled flight operations for 23 days effective 23:00hrs on Friday (an hour before midnight) the 27^th day of March 2020, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.”  

The management explained in the statement that this would complement the efforts of the Federal Government of Nigeria and other stakeholders in checking the spread of the virus.

It also noted that the airline places a high premium on the life and health of its passengers and staff, and would not want them to become victims of the virus, hence the decision to suspend flight operations.
