Diamond Bank tops all charts on the NSE today

The Nigerian Stock Exchange closed Friday’s session, on a positive note. The All Share Index ended at 31, 426.23 basis points, up 1.40%. Year to date, the index is down 0.01%.

Top Gainers and Losers  

Diamond Bank was the best performing stock today. The stock gained 10% to close at N2.31. Downstream operator, Total also gained 10% to close at N214.50. Caverton Helicopters rounds up the top three gainers for today with a 9.91% gain to close at N2.33

On the flip side, Consolidated Hallmark Insurance was the worst performing stock today. The stock shed 7.88% to close at N0.35. NPF Microfinance shed 7.59% to close at N1.46. PZ Cussons Nigeria rounds up the top three losers today with a 4.64% decline to close at N11.30.

Top Trades by Volume  

Diamond Bank was the most actively traded stock today. 89.7 million shares valued at N204 million were traded in 230 deals. FBN Holdings was next with 64.6 million shares valued at N492 million traded in 235 deals. Access Bank rounds up the top three most actively traded with 60.5 million shares valued at N387 million traded in 429 deals.

Access/Diamond merger: Court ordered meetings set to hold

Access Bank Plc and Diamond Bank Plc will be holding their court-ordered meetings on the 5th of March 2019.

Access Bank will be holding its court-ordered meeting at the at Balmoral Convention Centre, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island by 10 am.

Diamond bank’s court-ordered meeting will be held at the Grand Banquet Hall, Civic Centre, Victoria Island by 10 am.

May and Baker lists new shares

745,234,886 additional ordinary shares of May & Baker Plc (May & Baker) were listed on the Daily Official List of The Nigerian Stock Exchange.                                                                                                                                                                                          The additional shares listed arose following the conclusion of its rights issue, which was 76.04% subscribed.

The total issued and fully paid up shares of May & Baker has now increased from 980,000,000 to 1,725,234,886 ordinary shares.

UAC reports fire incident 

​UAC of Nigeria Plc yesterday announced there was a fire incidence at UAC House its corporate head office yesterday. The fire which started on the 10th floor was successfully contained.
