Q1 2018 Results: Jaiz Bank Plc reports 28% decrease in profits

Jaiz Bank Plc today released its financial statements for the period ended Q1 March 31st 2018.

Revenue

The company reported Gross income of ₦1.57 billion for the period ended March 2018 compared to ₦1.54 billion reported for the period ended March 2017. This represents a 2% increase for the comparative period in 2017.

Profit Before Tax

Profit before tax was ₦146.57 million for the period ended March 2018, a 28% decrease from the ₦203.68 million reported for the period ended March 2017.

Profit After tax

The company’s profit after tax for the period ended March 2018 ₦124.59 million compared to ₦173.13 million reported March 2017. This represented a 28% decrease for the comparative period in 2017.

Earnings Per Share

Jaiz Bank Plc also reported earnings per share of 0.5 kobo for the period ended March 2018 compared to 0.69 kobo reported for the period ended March 2017. This represents a 28% decrease for the comparative period in 2017.
