Nairametrics| The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has begun a crackdown on firms who have refused to pay their tax arrears in various states in the country, reports Punch. The exercise, which has occurred in two phases already has seen a number of high profile companies shut down already. These are the names of the companies shut down so far and the amounts that they owe.

The enforcement team, led by Ruth Mandeun, restated the commitment of the FIRS to recouping lost tax and shutting down erring companies no matter their size.
