New Rule: Stocbrokers No Longer Need To Be Jack Of All Trades 

The Chartered Institute Of Stockbrokers (CIS) has rolled out a new certification programme whereby stock brokers can now focus on specializing in a particular asset class. 

In the old system, the certification qualified brokers to trade across asset classes.

This reform will in the long term deepen the performance of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) as brokers will be more informed about the various products. The exchange closed negative last year, and is down over six percent this year.
