This State Governor Has Exempted Lower Income Earners From Paying Taxes

Nairametrics| The Cross-river state governor, Ben Ayade has disclosed at the State Executive Council Chambers, Calabar after the signing of the 2017 appropriation bill of N707 billion into law, that low income earners are exempted from paying taxes.
Ayade’s decision is sequel to the citizens, especially the low income earners and petty traders discontent with the collection of taxes and also following the current economic situation.
He also said that, “his administration would rather tax his intellect to prosperity rather than taxing the low income earners.”
