Chart: CBN Overdraft To Govt. Since Buhari Became President

As the controversy over the CBN’s loan to Buhari’s government continues to dominate social media, our team of analysts dug into the CBN’s data archive to determine just how much has been borrowed since 2015.

Data shows, the former CBN Governor and Emir of Kano was spot on and perhaps even ahead of our data considering that he had September and October data. Ours stopped in August. Here is further proof below;

NB: by the way, the overdraft averaged N200 million in 2014, N100 million in 2013 and was not used between 2010 and 2012.
