Balances In Domiciliary Accounts of Nigerian Banks

The Central Bank of Nigeria keeps a record of foreign currency deposits held by commercial banks on behalf of their customers. The amount includes balances in domiciliary accounts of customers and is reported in Naira using the official prevailing exchange rate published by the CBN. The balances are also excluded from the external reserves reported by the CBN.
