Follow Us on Google Discover- The National Bureau of Statistics has reported that Diesel prices for the month of August averaged a sum of N196.53 across the country.
- This was contained in the Bureau’s monthly AGO price watch.
- The price represented a month on month drop of about -4.85% the largest drop since February when it recorded a price drop of about 7.8%
- Diesel prices surged 23.2% and 12.6% in the month of June and July 2016 following the floating of the naira and the increase in the price of fuel.
- Benue State recorded the highest rice at N210 while Lagos State sold diesel at an average price of N194
- Other states with high commercial presence such as Rivers, Kano and Anambra sold diesel for N194.4, N202.5 and N192.5 respectively.
