CBN “deletes” Hajj circular from webiste

The Central Bank of Nigeria appears to have deleted the Hajj circular from its website.

The circular which appeared last night instructed commercial banks to sell dollars on its behalf to pilgrims for N197/$1.

The decision has been met with outrage by Nigerians who believe the country might be losing as much as N7.8b in exchange rate losses.
