- Forty ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods are expected at the Apapa and Tin-Can Island ports in Lagos from Aug. 21 to Sept 29.
- The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) said this in its daily publication `Shipping Position,’ on Friday in Lagos.
- It said that some of the expected ships would sail in with diesel, bulk rice, frozen fish, general cargo, repaired vessel, petrol and base oil.
- The document indicated that other expected ships would arrive with containers, buck wheat, bulk fertiliser, semi-trailer and bulk malt barley.
- It said that nine out of 14 other ships waiting to berth were carrying petrol, while five others came in with kerosene, general cargo, bulk rice, bulk fertiliser and frozen fish.
- The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that 23 other ships at the ports are discharging buck wheat, general cargo, soda ash, gypsum and ethanol.
- Other items being discharged include bulk sugar, bulk rice, containers, bulk diesel, bulk soya bean, petrol and aviation fuel.
