The Oshiomhole/El-Rufai Committee set up by President Muhammadu Buhari to probe the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan is to hire two international forensic auditors to determine how much the Federal Government earned since January 2010 to the end of the last administration and how the money was spent.
The decision was announced at the inaugural meeting of the committee in Abuja, Thursday.
Already, some revenue generating agencies, including Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) have been invited to brief the committee.
The focus will be on the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, the Nigeria Customs Service, the Central Bank of Nigeria, the Nigeria Extractive Industry Transparency Initiative, NEITI, among others.
