- President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday in Abuja said banks, financial institutions and countries where payments for stolen Nigerian crude oil were deposited have been identified.
- He however did not disclose the names of the banks and the countries.
- A statement issued in Abuja on Monday by the Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina said the government had taken efforts to recover stolen loots a step further.
- Buhari made the disclosure while meeting with some visiting United States Congressmen.
- The president acknowledged the support and cooperation his administration was getting from the international community in gathering required intelligence for tracing and recovering stolen national resources.
