Nigerian Banks close early ahead of Saturday’s Governorship Elections

Nigerian Banks have been sending out text messages to their depositors informing them that they will be closing early Friday. This is due to the Governorship elections set for Saturday April 11, 2015. Most financial institutions shut down early in the penultimate day to the Presidential and National Assembly elections as a precautionary measure to protect their employees and their assets. It also gives employees enough time to transport to their respective polling locations ahead of the elections.
