Wema Bank topped the gainers chart today gaining 9% and closing at N1.21. This follows the impressive results it declared last week. I opined this stock was one to watch today. Another on the list was Unilever which I mentioned would probably fall in price considering the lack luster result released last week. Red Star Express is another notable stock that made the top gainers list today gaining 6%. The uptick in its price may not be unconnected with its marked down date which is slated for 28th July 2014 . Red Star is now 16kobo or 3% closer to its year high of N5.35.

Transcorp was the most traded stock in terms of volume as over 93million units valued at over N550m shipped. 47million units of Oando shares worth about N1.2billion was traded taking the shares 4% higher to N26. Transcorp crossed N6 today but could not hold on to the price closing lower at N5.7
