The Nigerian Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) has set aside N16 billion special fund for Micro Finance Banks (MFBs) in case some of them go under.
Speaking yesterday, the Managing Director, NDIC, Alh Umaru Ibrahim said the initiative is part of effort at overcoming problems of capital adequacy, quality management, issues relating to risk management and other problems confronting micro-finance banks in Nigeria.
