We all know what went down with the much touted $200million (N32billion) entertainment fund put forward by the GEJ administration….only N766million (22%) of it has been disbursed to date. As it that is not enough, the president has promised another N3billion to the industry as it marks its 20 year celebrations.

For an industry that has mostly been self funded yet estimated as the third largest in the world, in terms of volume of films produced, its an irony that funding has become such a tall order. I hope this time the funds is disbursed sooner and to the right people.
