Small Businesses To Get New Fixed Electricity Charge

According to a Punch Article, the National Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) through its DG Dr Sam Amadi has confirmed that SME’s will in the next three months have a new fixed rate for electricity. Currently, SME’s have been placed on the same Fixed Electricity charge with large companies and industrial concerns following the implementation of the Multi Year Tariff Order (MYTO).

In addition to consumption charges, businesses are also expected to pay fixed charges on their electricity bills.
