WORK PERMIT RULES
Sweden is preparing to implement reforms to its single permit system for foreign workers, a move aimed at aligning national immigration policy with newly adopted European Union standards and enhancing the country’s appeal to global talent.
Oman’s Ministry of Labour has announced that starting August 1, 2025, engineers must obtain a Professional Classification Certificate from the Oman Society of Engineers (OSE) in order to renew or apply for work permits. Without this certification, applications will be denied, regardless of the worker’s current employment status.
The Singapore government is set to introduce changes to its work permit policies so as to enhance employer flexibility in hiring and retaining foreign talent.
