The Lagos State Government has said it will offer tax incentives and other benefits to startups operating in the State through its Innovation Bill, a key legislative initiative aimed at accelerating the growth of startups and improving the ease of doing business in the state.
Lagos State Commissioner for Innovation, Science, and Technology, Tunbosun Alake, has said that the tech startup ecosystem in the State is now worth over $9 billion.
Alake disclosed this on Thursday at the opening of the 4th Art of Lagos (AOT) conference with the theme: ‘Talent Acceleration And a smarter Lagos.’
