The United Nations has launched an appeal for over $910 million to address the humanitarian needs of 3.6 million people in Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe (BAY) states in north-east Nigeria in 2025.
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has said that humanitarian partners would need $ 4.7 billion to assist 20.9 million vulnerable people in parts of Nigeria, Chad, and five other African countries.
The United Nations has urgently allocated the sum of $20 million to tackle the alarming food security and nutrition crisis in the northeast of Nigeria.
