Lagos State Government has unveiled plans to integrate estate lakes, canals, and pumps into a comprehensive flood management system within the next 24 months, aiming to reduce flooding across the city.
The Lagos State Government on Friday began demolishing buildings encroaching on the Ikota River within Oral Estate and Megamound Estate in Lekki, 24 hours after the Ministry of Environment and Water Resources announced an extension period for residents to relocate on Thursday.
