David Umahi, the Minister of Works, has issued a directive for a 14-day termination notice to be served to Messrs. China Civil Engineering Construction (CECC), the contractor responsible for the Abia section of the Enugu-Port Harcourt Highway rehabilitation project, due to unsatisfactory performance.
The Enugu House of Representatives caucus, led by Mr Nnoli Nnaji representing Nkanu East/West Federal Constituency, has appealed to the Federal Government for swift action in reconstructing the collapsed bridge on the Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway.
