Nigeria and other Sub-Saharan African countries are facing a critical shortage of digital skills, jeopardizing their ability to meet the rapidly growing demand for digital competencies expected to surge by 2030.
The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) said it has partnered strategically with the National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) to train 30 million Nigerians on digital skills.
The National Information Development Agency (NITDA) has recommended that the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) include short digital skill courses for students.
The Commission said it is training Nigerian youths in this regard and in line with the government’s NDEPS 2020-2030.
