Shareholders of FBN Holdings Plc will receive a total dividend of N14.35 billion for the financial year ended December 2023, representing a total dividend of 40 kobo per share declared by the group.
MRS Oil Nigeria Plc has proposed a final dividend of N2.36 per ordinary share for the period ended December 31, 2023. The proposed dividend payment by MRS Oil makes it the first time the company is paying dividends to its shareholders since 2017 when it paid N1.73 per ordinary share of 50k.
Some capital market operators have cautioned that quoted companies burdened with foreign liabilities or heavily dependent on imported inputs could face a downturn in 2023 dividend payouts to their shareholders.
